National Taiwan University of Science and Technology _EMI Teaching Assistants and EMI Learning Tutors

1. The EMI Teaching Resource Center of National Taiwan Normal University (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”) has launched the “EMI Academic English Talent and Leadership Program” in response to the Ministry of Education’s “Bilingual Learning Program for College Students” and “English Proficiency Development Activities for College Students”. This program aims to train teaching assistants and academic English tutors needed in EMI classrooms, enhancing their skills in English presentations, cross-cultural communication, and academic English expression.

2. Undergraduate and graduate students from all universities, as well as individuals interested in serving as EMI teaching assistants and academic English tutors, are welcome to apply. The program is taught by EMI experts and academic English instructors through synchronous online sessions, with post-class self-study resources to allow flexible learning schedules and effectively improve academic English skills. The Center also welcomes universities and colleges to inquire about collaboration for the EMI Academic English Talent and Leadership Program.

3. Course Registration and Duration:

(a) Registration Period: From now until Sunday, March 8, 2026

(b) Course Period:

  1. Workshops: Four workshops and one online成果發表會 (online final presentation) will be held from Monday, March 16, 2026, to Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Each workshop and the final presentation will last 2 hours.

  2. Online Final Presentation: Wednesday, May 20, 2026

(c) Certificate Award: Participants who complete at least three workshops and attend the final presentation, achieving 8 hours of coursework, will receive the “EMI Academic English Talent and Leadership Program Completion Certificate” issued by the Center. Participants who partially complete the program will receive a certificate of attendance. Certificates will be sent electronically within one week after the final presentation.
